Monitoring crew hard at work

Monitoring crew

The Chewaucan Biophysical Monitoring crew is hard at work this year continuing their research on the Fremont-Winema National Forest.  The crew was joined by another monitoring crew from the west side to assist in data collection and exchange experience working on two very different types of forests in Oregon.

Last friday, members of the monitoring crew presented some of their findings in the field to the Lakeview Stewardship Group.  The data collected by the monitoring crew is directly utilized in forest management decisions. This monitoring component is, and has been, fundamental to the success of the collaborative efforts on this forest.

A big, mid-season thank you to the crew for all your hard work!
